Do you ever have one of those days when you are so overcome with awe at the beauty of the natural world that you simply behold the magnificence before you with a kind of silent wonderment? This happens to me quite often, most recently just the other day. While walking with my beloved dog (a first generation Golden Doodle) during the late afternoon on Monday, 10 March, I realized how absolutely beautiful the day was – quiet and peaceful in my cul-de-sac neighborhood, the air cool but not chilly.
In all my time providing readings and spiritual counsel for people, I have developed a keen sense of the different concerns, fears and problems with which men and women come to me. Most people tend to have problems in their romantic life; others are looking for spiritual, professional or financial guidance. Many have concerns about old flames, exes, or departed loved ones, while others worry about estranged friends, ailing parents, or their children. Common to all people is the desire to be in control of their own lives.
“. . . When you are alone, you should know that there is present with you the angel whom God has appointed for each man. . . This angel, who is sleepless and cannot be deceived, is always present with you; he sees all things and is not hindered by darkness. You should know, too, that with him is God, who is in every place; for there is no place and nothing material in which God is not, since He is greater than all things and holds all men in His hand.”
Letter-writing, whether for business, friendship, or romance, used to be the most widespread method of communication in the world. For centuries before the invention of the telegraph, radio, telephone, or the Internet, letters were the primary means of carrying on crucial correspondence.
In a way, the lack of advanced communication technology served as one of the few equalizers of the pre-modern world. Anyone who was literate, from a simple shopkeeper to the greatest kings, had access to this almost singular source of pre-modern communication.
The time-honored Chinese sage Lao Tzu (604-531 BCE) has left posterity numerous quotes, poems and treatises on the art of love, the science of war, and the nature of the earth and the heavens. None of his writings have had more of an impact on me, nor do I believe any hold a more inherent, universal value, than these words: "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
I was dating a guy in college who hated my psychic abilities and my strong spiritual relationships. At first he seemed really open to the divine. On our first few dates he was happily babbling away about mediation, excerpts of various Gospels, and Hinduism. This was before I had expressed anything metaphysical about myself. Later as I become more open about showing him my true self, believing I was safe because the content of our previous discussions, he expressed disdain towards anything spiritual including me.
Simple, quick evening meditation for positive manifestation.
We all encounter negativity on a daily basis and sometimes it hits us in our Chi, or life energy. We often feel the pain in our gut or heart. Sometimes we carry thoughts and negative experiences from the past that we feel we simply cannot let go of. I have a way that I deal with this, and if you learn to use it every evening just a few minutes before bed, you'll become more relaxed and calm and find that using positive thoughts and energy comes to you naturally.
I decided to write this so if you decided to read it, then you might feel as though you know who you're writing/talking to a bit better when you send in your question(s). Also, maybe you'll get a lil' sumpin' sumpin' as a small gift. I 'll do my best to keep it simple with precision honesty. That's a bit of my style anyway.
Many have and will continue to turn to psychics in order to find the one. I've done this myself. While all but one of the psychics predicted aspects of my love perfectly, realizing this upon later reflection of course, none of them could tell me where he was, when I'd meet him, and where I'd meet him. This frustrated me greatly. Wouldn't it be wonderful if a psychic could give you a name, a full physical description, and an address? But it doesn't work that way.
