As much as many would like to believe that love is fated, or set in stone, take a look at the divorce rate out there. How many relationships do you see that really last? Some do, but it hard work and takes time. Men and women think very differently. All of these things are a product of how we use the free will we were given to find and choose a partner by not being hasty, but building a friendship first so you can get to know the person first. Men will look at a woman’s physical attributes first but often quickly loose interest if she cannot match him intellectually. Men usually take longer to make a serious commitment as they need more time to bond with a women. While women are ready to quickly bond and start a family. This often leads to miscommunication, frustration and  can frighten the man away if the woman pursues him too aggressively. 

Most men do no like being pursued by women at all. For them, the relationship must just naturally fall into place over time. So women must learn patience and the ability to keep their calm over a period of time without attempting to rush the relationship. This is difficult for many women as they do not want to feel they are wasting their time. And this is where many relationships hit a snag. So, for women, paying attention to your mans ability to work as a team, his tendency to be considerate or thoughtful towards your emotions is a good sign. 

However, most men are idiots when it comes to relationships. So giving him subtle clues AFTER he has asked you to be exclusive is an art form. Waiting for him to ask for exclusivity can be maddening but if he becomes seriously attached to you he will. If he does not, then allow yourself to date others until he does ask for a commitment. Remember, when a guy realizes that he might loose you to another guy and he is attached, then he will move to commit more quickly.
